The elusive vampire lord has begun his apocalyptic end game, and Kitty still doesn't know where he will strike.
Meanwhile, pressure mounts in Denver as Kitty and her pack begin to experience the true reach of Dux Bellorum's cult. Outnumbered and outgunned at every turn, the stakes have never been higher for Kitty. She will have to call on allies both old and new in order to save not just her family and friends, but the rest of the world as well.

It just so happens that every single one of the thirteen
Kitty novels -- plus the Greatest Hits
short story collection! -- has a playlist published at the beginning. Besides being a werewolf, Kitty is a radio DJ
who parlays her late-night shift into a talk-radio advice show for the supernaturally
disadvantaged. It was entirely natural
to include with each story the kind of music she might have played during her
alt-radio days. In fact, I listen to
music while I write, and I really enjoyed seeking out songs that fit the mood
or story, and then crafting the playlists as if they're the soundtrack to each
book.
At this point, if you combined all fourteen playlists
together, we're talking close to two hundred songs. I try not to repeat -- but I have included
several versions of the Bach piece "Sheep May Safely Graze." Some of my favorite bands that I've featured: The Clash, Oingo Boingo, Pet Shop Boys, Cyndi
Lauper, the Pretenders, and Creedence Clearwater Revival. A lot of 80's music is represented, but I try
to draw on all different times and types.
I also have a few songs I vowed would never appear on a playlist:
Duran Duran's "Hungry Like the Wolf," the Shangri-La's
"Leader of the Pack." And I
imagine Kitty is also really tired of hearing Warren Zevon's "Werewolves
of London."
Here's the first song on the playlist for KITTY SAVES THE
WORLD, which seemed an appropriate way to introduce the finale of this whole
crazy series:
Traveling
Wilburys, "End of the Line"
